  • We point people to Christ, regardless of where they sit on Sunday.

  • No. KPU is not affiliated with one church. We partner with churches throughout Acadiana and welcome everyone, whether you attend church regularly, occasionally, or have never attended.

  • KPU is for anyone seeking hope, purpose, healing, and a deeper relationship with Christ. While we have specific events for men and women, everyone is welcome.

  • No. Recovery is part of many people’s story, but KPU is about transformation. Whether you’re struggling with addiction, anxiety, broken relationships, pride, fear, or simply want to grow spiritually, you’ll fit in.

  • Keep Pointing Up is not affiliated with any one church or denomination. We are a Christ-centered nonprofit that partners with churches across Acadiana to encourage unity in the Body of Christ.

    Our mission is simple:

    We point people to Christ, regardless of where they sit on Sunday.

    We believe the local church is God’s design for discipleship and community. KPU exists to encourage, equip, and connect people—not replace the local church. We encourage everyone who attends our events to become actively involved in a Bible-believing local church.

    KPU is not planting or building a church. We are building a ministry that comes alongside the local church.

    Our goal is to unite believers across church lines, create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus, and encourage them to grow in their faith within their local church family.

    Think of KPU as a bridge—not a destination.

    When someone leaves a KPU event, our hope isn’t that they become “members of KPU.” Our hope is that they:

    • Grow closer to Jesus.

    • Become active in a local church.

    • Build authentic relationships with other believers.

    • Live out their faith at home, at work, and in their community.

    We believe when churches are stronger, families become stronger, communities become stronger, and the Kingdom of God advances together.

  • Most KPU gatherings are free thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors. Some special events may require registration.

  • Come as you are. You’ll see everything from jeans and boots to business casual.

  • Absolutely. KPU Men and KPU Women have dedicated gatherings throughout the year, and we also host events that are open to everyone.

    Kerry Simon is the visionary founder and President of Keep Pointing Up (KPU), a men’s ministry built on brotherhood, spiritual growth, and authentic transformation. With a heart for discipleship and a drive to connect men across backgrounds and churches, Kerry has led KPU from a bold idea into a thriving movement. A professional land surveyor by trade and a servant-leader by calling, Kerry brings discipline, strategy, and humility to his leadership. He is passionate about providing men with practical tools, Christ-centered relationships, and a safe place to grow stronger together. Under his guidance, KPU has launched dynamic initiatives like KPU Crews, Men’s Nights, and strategic partnerships throughout Acadiana. Kerry’s leadership is marked by vulnerability, authenticity, and relentless faith. Whether he’s speaking from the stage or serving behind the scenes, his mission is clear: to help broken men discover healing, purpose, and bold faith in Jesus Christ.

    Greg Palmer — Director of Strategic Development, Keep Pointing Up (KPU) Greg Palmer serves as the Director of Strategic Development for Keep Pointing Up (KPU), where he provides vision, structure, and strategic insight to expand the reach and impact of the ministry. With a strong background in business leadership as CEO of Golfballs.com, Greg brings decades of entrepreneurial experience and executive wisdom to KPU. At the helm of KPU’s growth strategy, Greg focuses on forging partnerships, developing sustainable funding models, and helping ensure every initiative aligns with the ministry’s mission to lead men toward spiritual purpose and brotherhood. His guidance has been instrumental in shaping KPU’s vision, operational strategy, and long-term sustainability. Known for his calm demeanor, business acumen, and deep faith, Greg is passionate about helping men step into their calling with confidence and clarity. Whether it’s in the boardroom or around a campfire, he invests in relationships that build lasting impact.

Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, Neely combines his personal passion for discipleship with professional expertise in commercial HVAC sales and project management, where he has cultivated a strong reputation for integrity, service, and problem-solving. At KPU, Neely’s leadership is rooted in the belief that strong men create strong families and communities. He encourages men to lead themselves well—spiritually, relationally, and practically—so they can influence others with strength and humility. Known for his authenticity and steady presence, Neely helps drive KPU’s mission forward through encouragement, connection, and faithful leadership.

    Melvin Granger

    Melvin Granger — Treasurer, Keep Pointing Up (KPU) Melvin Granger serves as the Treasurer of Keep Pointing Up (KPU), where he brings decades of financial leadership and operational excellence to the ministry. As a seasoned executive in both the private sector and church administration, Melvin ensures KPU’s financial stewardship aligns with its God-given mission. A native of Acadiana and an Eagle Scout, Melvin also serves as Executive Director of Operations at The Bayou Church. His 18+ years as a controller/treasurer in the oilfield industry have honed his expertise in budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning. At KPU, he safeguards the ministry’s resources while helping to fuel long-term vision and impact. Outside of ministry, Melvin and his wife enjoy flipping houses, supporting local restaurants, and building community through authentic relationships. He’s known for his humility, quiet strength, and a heart fully invested in seeing men grow in their faith and purpose.

    Laine Leger

    Laine Leger — Secretary, Keep Pointing Up (KPU) Laine Leger serves as a Board Member and Secretary for Keep Pointing Up (KPU), offering steady leadership grounded in faith, integrity, and service. A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Laine is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and disciple of Jesus Christ with a heart for discipleship and walking alongside others in truth and humility.

    Laine has served in various leadership roles and ministry positions for over 12 years and currently serves as the Care Pastor at Harvest Center Church. His pastoral calling reflects a deep commitment to caring for people, meeting them where they are, and helping them grow spiritually through Christ-centered guidance and accountability.

    Professionally, Laine is the Owner and Manager of Attention To Detail Painting, LLC, a local business built on trust, quality, and accountability. Those same values guide his role within KPU, where he helps ensure the ministry operates with clarity, transparency, and excellence while remaining firmly rooted in its Christ-centered mission.

    Laine’s quiet leadership, commitment to family, and faith-driven service make him a trusted voice on the KPU Board and a valuable steward of the organization’s vision to point men toward Christ and authentic brotherhood.

    Andy Tribe

    Andy Tribe - Pastor Andy Tribe serves as the Pastoral Advisor to the Board for Keep Pointing Up (KPU). A lifelong son of South Louisiana, Andy began his career serving his community as a firefighter with the Lafayette Fire Department before answering God’s call into ministry. In 2005, Andy planted Youngsville Community Church, where he has faithfully served as Founding Senior Pastor for nearly two decades. His ministry is marked by clarity, humility, and authenticity, consistently pointing people to Jesus and equipping leaders to live out their faith boldly. Pastor Andy has been a trusted spiritual voice for KPU since its earliest days, providing wisdom, prayer, and counsel long before formal leadership roles were established. Known for his deep love for people and his gift for connection, Andy is passionate about seeing the potential in every man God places in his path and committed to raising up the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. His greatest ministry begins at home with his wife of 43 years, Mona, their three daughters, and their growing family of granddaughters. Together, they have spent years mentoring and encouraging young families across Acadiana. Andy brings spiritual maturity, pastoral wisdom, and a shepherd’s heart to Keep Pointing Up, and we are grateful for his continued leadership and faithful service.
